They were missing three key players, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, and Raphael Varane all missing the Manchester derby.
Varane, though, practised with the squad on Wednesday, according to the club (via manutd.com). For Saturday's encounter at Old Trafford, he is expected to return to the first team. Varane, 28, was unable to play against City after getting Covid, but he appears to have recovered totally.
Meanwhile, Cavani, who has had an injury-plagued season, is expected to return. The 35-year-old veteran striker hasn't played for United since a 1-1 draw with Burnley on February 8.
The former PSG forward has been dealing with groyne and stomach difficulties, but he practised with the team on Wednesday.
Ronaldo has been suffering with a hip issue that has forced him to miss the Manchester derby as well. He is keen to face Tottenham, but he has only practised on his own and remains a doubt for the match.
